Overview: We’re working exclusively with an exciting, fast-moving food manufacturing & hospitality business that is looking for a Food Safety Executive to join the team and help keep food safety standards high across a growing multi-site operation.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be out across sites, conducting audits, coaching teams, supporting investigations and helping make sure food safety and health & safety standards are consistently followed.

Working closely with the Quality & Safety Director, you’ll have the opportunity to influence food safety standards, develop teams and help drive improvements across the wider operation.

What will you be doing?
You’ll take ownership of a varied food safety remit, including:

  • Conducting regular internal audits across multiple sites.
  • Supporting sites with audits, investigations and resolving food safety issues.
  • Coaching and training teams on food safety, health & safety and risk assessments.
  • Providing food safety and allergen training to large teams.
  • Liaising with Environmental Health Officers and supporting EHO inspections.
  • Designing quarterly safety audits based on data, trends, seasonality and emerging concerns.
  • Completing reports following site visits and coaching sessions.
  • Supporting investigations into food poisoning, accidents and foreign body allegations.
  • Helping identify root causes and recommendations to prevent issues happening again.
  • Supporting enforcement correspondence and ensuring actions are dealt with efficiently.
  • Working with third-party suppliers covering areas such as pest control, chemicals and management systems.
  • Ensuring HACCP documentation, hygiene standards and risk assessments are maintained to a high standard.

What are they looking for?
Essential

  • Previous experience in a food safety role within food manufacturing, QSR, hospitality or a similar environment.
  • Strong experience conducting audits and supporting site teams.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, health & safety and HACCP.
  • Experience dealing with EHO inspections and liaison.
  • Experience delivering food safety and allergen training.
  • Knowledge of pest control, hygiene and other food safety hazards.
  • Strong attention to detail with a genuine commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Confident communicating with teams at all levels.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Experience working across multiple sites would be beneficial.

• Acting as a key HSE contact for site operations, providing practical guidance, coaching and support on health and safety matters
• Leading risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action plans to reduce workplace risk
• Delivering HSE workshops, safety briefings and engagement initiatives to promote a proactive safety culture
• Supporting internal and external audits, Emergency Response Teams, statutory compliance activities and ongoing HSE improvement projects

Working closely with the Health, Safety & Environment Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining compliance, supporting audits, delivering training and driving a positive safety culture across the site. This is a varied, hands-on role with excellent exposure across all areas of the business.

About You:
• Previous experience working within a Health & Safety role within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar manufacturing environment
• NEBOSH General Certificate (or currently working towards)
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, Risk Assessments, COSHH, Fire Safety and Manual Handling requirements
• Experience supporting Health & Safety audits, investigations, training and compliance activities

Overview: Our client is seeking an Interim Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to support them and develop their people whilst they embark on exciting future initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Ensure the compliance of health, safety and environmental practices
•    Promote and drive a culture of health safety through leadership and communication
•    Maintain the highest standards of workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability during the interim period
•    Monitor health, safety, and environmental performance metrics and suggest improvements as needed.

Key Requirements:
