Quality Manager.

Location: Cheshire

Overview: We are looking for an experienced and driven Quality Manager to join a fast-paced food manufacturing site based in the Cheshire area. Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of the technical team across all departments, ensuring the delivery of safe, legal and high-quality food to customers.
This is a hands-on role in a well-established manufacturing environment and would suit a Quality Manager who enjoys working at pace and leading teams on the factory floor.

The Role
•    As Quality Manager, you will be delivering food safety, legality, quality and integrity across all products, customers and brands.
•    Ensuring all site procedures and practices comply with UK food legislation, BRCGS and internal manufacturing standards.
•    The Quality Manager will be investigating, managing and reporting adverse microbiological results.
•    Managing product and specification information through the site product information system, with full responsibility for the site HACCP plan.
•    Supporting and advising colleagues across the business on technical and food safety matters.
•    Developing, implementing and ensuring compliance with technical policies and procedures applicable to the site.
•    Consistently and proactively managing site trends, risks and non-conformances.
•    Managing the internal audit programme, site process validations and overall document control.
 
About You
As well as the ability to work at pace, you will have:
•    Relevant experience and/or a degree in science, food technology, chemistry, microbiology, engineering, manufacturing or business.
•    Strong knowledge of food safety, legality, compliance and quality across the supply chain.
•    Previous experience within high-risk food manufacturing, ideally with thermal processing exposure.
