Production Team Leader.

Location: North West London
Overview: We are recruiting for a motivated and hands-on Team Leader to join a fast-paced food production environment in Park Royal. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for leading a production team to deliver high-quality food products while ensuring the highest standards of Health & Safety, Food Safety, and operational performance.
This position plays a key role in driving team engagement, achieving production plans, and maintaining the high standards expected across quality, service level, and efficiency. The successful candidate will be a confident people leader who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment and is passionate about continuous improvement.

About you…
•    Previous experience in a food manufacturing or food production environment.
•    Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety standards (GMP).
•    A confident people leader with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams.
•    Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
•    Highly organised with the ability to manage production priorities and performance targets.
•    As Production Team Leader, you will possess a proactive mindset with a strong focus on quality, efficiency and waste reduction.
•    Comfortable using IT systems and production reporting tools.
•    Driven, motivated and aligned with values such as respect, collaboration, and pride in quality products.

What will you be doing?
•    Leading your production team to deliver the daily production plan safely and efficiently.
•    Ensuring all activities meet Food Safety, Quality, GMP and Health & Safety standards.
•    Monitoring line performance, throughput and waste to drive improvements in operational efficiency.
•    Providing daily communication, feedback and performance support to team members through shift briefings.
•    Supporting the induction, training and development of new team members.
•    The Production Team Leader will be managing breaks, holidays and staffing levels to ensure smooth production operations.
•    Carrying out safety walks, raising near misses and supporting root cause investigations to improve safety performance.
•    Ensuring quality standards are maintained and addressing any non-conformances quickly and effectively.
•    Recording downtime and production performance while identifying opportunities for improvement.
•    Working collaboratively with Production Managers, Engineering, Logistics and support teams to resolve operational challenges.
•    Driving continuous improvement initiatives across safety, quality and operational performance.
