European Head of Health & Safety.

Location: North-East Scotland (relocation package available)

Overview: We’re looking for a passionate HSE & Food Safety professional to play a pivotal role in shaping culture, driving compliance and delivering best practice across multiple sites. The successful Head of Health & Safety will lead the Health, Safety and Environmental function in ensuring that our client’s European Business Unit processes, procedures and systems comply with legislation and company policies. 

About You:
•    As the Head of Health & Safety, you will possess a proven track record in a multi-site, senior Health & Safety role, ideally within the FMCG industry or other fast-paced manufacturing.
•    Demonstrable experience of leading and delivering outstanding health, safety and environmental policies and procedures. 
•    A strong background in coaching, management, leading and developing successful HS&E teams.
•    A proven background of responsibility and accountability, setting high expectations and putting vision into context and links to team performance.
•    You will possess a high level of expertise in Root Cause Analysis
•    Your qualifications will ideally include a NEBOSH diploma, or relevant equivalent.

What will you be doing?
This critical role will involve, but not be limited to:
•    Championing HSE & Food Safety culture: embedding ownership across sites, ensuring compliance with legislation and industry standards while striving for excellence.
•    Driving continuous improvement: leading root cause analysis, simplifying frameworks and inspiring others to improve the way they work.
•    Developing people & teams: coaching leaders, upskilling employees and empowering sites with the knowledge and confidence to deliver safely and effectively.
•    Collaborating with leadership: partnering with European and site leadership teams to implement strategies, track metrics and deliver on commitments.
•    Providing visible leadership: leading investigations, reporting and improvement initiatives, ensuring HSE remains a top priority at all levels.
•    Travel between UK and European sites is required.
