Overview: We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to oversee the quality control and assurance processes within a food manufacturer.
Experience Required:
· As Quality Manager, you will possess in-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, quality management systems, and experience in UK food manufacturing.
· Previous experience within a technical or quality assurance department
· Knowledge of technical requirements within a factory environment
· The Quality Assurance Manager will be able to demonstrate areas of change culture
· The ability to coach, train & develop people in food safety compliance
· Excellent leadership and team management skills
· Good working knowledge of all Microsoft packages.
Responsibilities:
· As Quality Assurance Manager, this role involves leading a small quality team to ensure that all products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance
· Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS)
· Conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes to ensure compliance with internal and external standards
· Stay updated on changes in food safety legislation and ensure that the company’s practices are aligned with the latest requirements
· Manage and lead the company's response to any quality or safety incidents, including product recalls or customer complaints
· The Quality Assurance Manager will drive initiatives aimed at reducing waste, improving efficiency, and minimising quality-related cost
· Prepare regular reports on quality performance, including non-conformance reports, corrective actions, and audit results
